Welcome to QPK
Welcome!
Queen's for Parkinson's Kingston (QPK) is run by Queen's University students and is a club based around supporting the Kingston Chapter of Parkinson's Canada. Our club strives to increase awareness for Parkinson's disease (PD), foster support on campus, as well as connect with Kingston support groups and fundraise for Parkinson's Canada and related research. Our website is a hub for information on our events and for learning about PD.
PD typically stems from dopamine deficiency in certain areas of the brain, resulting in motor symptoms and possibly cognitive dysfunctions. Many people are affected by PD directly, but the less obvious, yet still significant impact is on family members and caregivers. We hope that QPK can help and provide support for students and those in the Kingston community who are affected by PD.

We hire club members to help with many different projects, from t-shirt sale fundraisers to writing blog articles. Help us make a difference in the Parkinson’s community and get involved in marketing, outreach, finance, or events.
